As part of the Communications team, you will play an active role in developing and executing strategic communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will help shape messaging, manage elements of communications programs, and contribute to strategic advice provided to clients.
This role is ideal for a communications professional with agency or consulting experience who is ready to take on greater ownership of client work and campaign execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead elements of communications campaigns and day-to-day execution
- Develop and implement earned media, digital, and social media strategies
- Draft high-quality communications materials including media releases, briefing notes, messaging documents, and digital content
- Build relationships with journalists and support media outreach
- Provide day-to-day support on client accounts and contribute to strategic communications advice
- Identify emerging issues and support reputation management strategies
- Conduct policy, stakeholder, and media research to inform communications strategies
- Manage project timelines and coordinate deliverables across teams
- Mentor junior staff or interns where appropriate
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you should bring:
- 2 - 4 years of progressive experience in communications or public relations (agency experience preferred)
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field
- Experience executing strategic communications plans involving owned, earned, shared, and paid media
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities with minimal oversight
- Experience working with journalists and securing earned media coverage
- Strong strategic thinking and issue analysis skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client expectations
- Understanding of the Canadian media landscape and stakeholder environment
- Experience developing and implementing digital and social media campaigns
- French language proficiency
- Formal training in public relations or communications
